This gorgeous one bedroom artist loft is just ten minutes by subway to Times Square, and fifteen minutes to hipster Brooklyn, Greenpoint and Williamsburg. Architecturally designed, the decor includes oak floors, three exposed brick walls, two large skylights, and original artwork, including wooden sculptures. The loft is beautifully furnished with an eclectic mix of North African carpets and textiles. There is a queen size bed and a queen size fold out sleep sofa; the large tiled bathroom has a shower and tub, as well as a skylight. Amenities include free WiFi, air conditioning, internet ready flat screen TV, microwave, coffee-maker, ceiling fan, all linens and a fully equipped kitchen. The loft is located

two flights up from the street. Smoking is not permitted.

Long Island City is one of New York's newest artistic neighborhoods; it has hipster cafes, ethnic restaurants and art galleries right next to old world Italian restaurants. This is the place for gourmet eating with many young chefs setting up shop here! For art lovers, PS 1 Contemporary Art Center, the Noguchi Museum, Sculpture Center and Socrates Sculpture Park are all near. Note that the in house restaurant at PS1 is the infamous and critically acclaimed M. Wells, only however for the meat hardy.

GUEST REVIEWS

A nice calm space...

Guest: Daniel and Aruna, London, UK

My now fiancée and I stayed in the loft in June in New York where I planned to pop the question (she said yes!). It was our first time in NYC and the loft made a perfect base for our stay. The loft itself provided us with a nice calm space in which we could spread out comfortably during our stay. It was much better than staying in a hotel. Margaret and David took the time to provide a lot of information about the local area which came in handy. Margaret was away when we arrived so her friend Joyce let us in and showed us around. We were definitely given a warm welcome.

Fantastic place to stay...

Guest: Sara Jane and Fred, London

This has been a fantastic place to stay for our first month in New York. The apartment couldn’t be better - spacious, quiet, private - and the location is great. We’ve enjoyed exploring the local cafes and restaurants as well as hopping on the subway into Manhattan. We still can’t believe that it is just one stop to Grand Central Station. Thank you for all the tips and advice when we arrived. We will definitely tell friends and family about our stay here.

Marvellous apartment!

Guest: Josef and Nancy, Stuttgart, Germany

We had a phantastic 2 months in NY and it began by arriving at your martvellous apartment! Thank you for preparing everything so well, giving so many precious informations about trips, restaurants, etc etc. We will recommend you when we’ll be back in Germany. Thanks a lot and best wishes!

Couldn't get any better than that!

Guest: Michal, New Zealand

I hesitate to tell you how much I loved staying in this loft for fear it won't be available next time I am in town! If you choose to stay in Manhattan over Long Island City you are definitely unfamiliar with the area. When you are staying inside the tall building of Manhattan the view is cramped and limited but in LIC all the romance of the jeweled city is at your feet. Stepping off the train at night, walking the half block to the door of the loft, the sight of the Empire State Building in all it's colorful glory never failed to take my breath away. If you could walk on water (over the East River), Manhattan is only 4 block from the loft but jump on the 7 train (which runs all night) and it's only one stop/ 4 minutes. The apartment was very clean, well decorated (the owner are artists), and had everything I needed. I stayed four months and felt very much at home. At the end of the day it was a relief to step off the train and be in a real neighborhood. There are some great restaurants and very cozy bars. It's a hip and up and coming area and the owners were very helpful in introducing me to what was available. In fact, the owners were always there for me in every regard, immediately responding to every question or need. Couldn't get any better than that.

This apartment became our home...

Guest: Johnny and Amanda, Australia

This apartment has become our home for several months. Thanks for all your support and help, and also for maintaining such a beautiful place and sharing it with all of us. We will for sure recommend it to all our friends, and when we come back we will come here (we hope to).

The location was ideal!

Guest: Al and Clarissa, Western Australia

I guess that you do not often have people who stay as long as we did! The location was ideal, close to the crowded areas of Manhattan and yet a quiet place to return to. The area has good restaurants and bars and is close to a good supermarket. Apart from the popular tourist spots, we would also recommend the Tenement Museum. We had a great time.

Thanks once again!

Guest: Derek and Tony, UK

Thanks once again for the warm welcome to the apartment. Another enjoyable New York month where we managed to see a lot more of this amazing city. We are recommending your lovely apartment to our friends in England who are coming to New York.
