GUEST REVIEWS

Best Loft - EVER!

Guest: Carol, USA

This was the PERFECT place! Spending six weeks working in New York I based myself in this gorgeous, arty loft. My weeks at work were very busy, so the loft was the perfect place to come home each evening. Immaculately clean, upscale and modern. The super convenient location also meant I could get to work in minutes, and even come home to change before going back to Manhattan for the evening! However, countless evenings were also spent discovering and savoring all the great restaurants minutes from the loft! The owners were super friendly and helpful, not that I needed anything. As a neighborhood, LIC is one of NY's best kept secrets - do not pass up on renting this place!

Perfect Stay

Guest: Ess, Texas

An informative scrapbook of neighborhood suggestions from newspapers and magazines awaited in this clean, modern and artsy apartment. Long Island City is a superb and safe location in close proximity to Gantry park on the East River with an amazing view of midtown manhattan (and hammocks), subways within minutes, a walk into Brooklyn and treks over the Queensboro and Williamsburg bridges into Manhattan. You can make a nice loop to run around the park or go to a nearby outdoor (little) community track on 47rd and 5th. highly recommended! thanks!!!

One stop from Grand Central

Guest: Jo, Australia

With Grand Central and Midtown Manhattan one stop away, I found LIC to be a great base for exploring NYC during my stay. The apartment is lovely - clean, light and airy with extremely friendly and helpful hosts and is handily located; the subway entrance is only half a block away and there is a fantastic organic deli and great restaurants within a two minute walk.

Our stay in Long Island City, Queens

Guest: Klaartje, Netherlands

We had a pleasant stay in the apartment. The subway provides a direct link to the heart of Manhattan, a mere ten minutes ride. The stop is on the corner of the streetone minute away. Exhausted after walking all day we gladly came home for dinner in the neighborhood. With a choice of several nice restaurants, cafés and delis there was enough to discover foodwise. Close by one can view the skyline of Manhattan from the water's edge. The neighborhood is quiet for such a big city, with a feeling of safety coming from commuters in the morning and evening, exclusive apartment highrise close by and the overall pleasantness of the people. And the apartment itself is stylish, clean and pleasant. From JFK airport it is very easily reached by public transportation, which is inexpensive as well.

Loved Long Island City!

Guest: Trish and teenage daughter, Oregon

We had a lovely, lovely time staying at this apartment. It is just so convenient! It felt safe too, being right across the street from the Police station. We enjoyed several local eating spots although being 5 minutes from Manhattan didn't hurt either! I must add that the apartment is spotless, tasteful and my teenage daughter felt like she was in her own cool spot. It really was a delight. I will recommend the apartment to friends and would certainly avail of it again myself if it were available. All in all - A+ !

Fantastic loft – highly recommended!

Guest: David, London

My partner and I stayed here while working. We loved it. The apartment is modern, spacious and relaxing. It's also brilliantly located and is right next to the subway, which is just one stop (literally 3 minutes) from Grand Central Station and 42nd Street. So we were able to zip in and out of Manhattan whenever we fancied it – the subway runs all night. And if you want to spend a night closer to home, there are plenty of cool bars and restaurants right next to the flat. The fact that it had a shower plus bath, as well as a fully equipped kitchen, made it a home from home. It's by far the best place we've stayed while working in New York and we definitely hope to be back again soon.

A FIVE STAR place for a two star budget!

Guest: Terry & Rhenda, Texas

The apartment was immaculate and the pictures do not do it justice. The place is clean and neat. When coming back each day we actually caught ourselves using the phrase "let's go home." They say "location, location, location" and this place is it. We went into Manhattan every day, sometimes several trips per day. The subway station is just a minute from the apt. and a few minutes ride to Times Square. We bought a subway pass and "wore it out." We never waited for a train. I had coffee at one of several nearby shops every morning and then brought back fruit and some kind of breakfast or snack item. The little grocery was great for some things in the fridge. Dining places were plentiful and the cost was 1/4 - 1/3 of what they were in Manhattan. Can't say enough about our hosts. Helpful, informative, knowledgeable, interested, on and on. We enjoyed our visit so much, that we are already anxious to return to the area - this apartment being available, will return again soon. Oh yeah, there is good police presence as the 108th Precinct is on the street. We felt safe all the time. We walked in the area nearly every evening. We've already told friends and family - "Don't even think about going, unless you check out this place.
