PS 1 Contemporary Art Center MoMA’s LIC branch: cutting edge contemporary art in a gorgeous renovated Public School
The Noguchi Museum a very special museum dedicated to life and work of this extraordinary Japanese-American sculptor and architect. Originally the artist's actual studio, this is one of the best kept secret's in New York!
Socrates Sculpture Park across from the Noguchi. Contemporary sculpture by emerging artists in a superb location on the East River. Vibrant free summer programs: lively dance, film and yoga.
Sculpture Center showcases emerging and well-known contemporary sculptors. It's a small, experimental space and definitely worth a visit.
Queens Museum of Art in Flushing Meadows, next to the Unisphere, the building dates to the 1939 World's Fair; do not miss the Panorama, a fantastic model of all five NYC boroughs.
Museum of the Moving Image a jewel of a museum, with interactive exhibits. This is the perfect destination for all ages with great movie screenings.

Transport

Subway the 7 subway station is a 1 minute walk from our Lofts. It goes directly to Grand Central or Times Square in Manhattan in 5 minutes. Other nearby subways are the E, V, N, R and also the G train to Brooklyn.
Bus both the B32 or B62 buses go to Green Point and Williamsburg, Brooklyn in 10 minutes
NYC Ferry one stop to East 34th Street or go to Williamsburg and Wall Street. There is even a new service to Rockaway, if you want the beach! The ferry stop is 5 minutes from our Lofts
JFK Airtrain take the train from the airport to the subway, rather than a taxi; offset some carbon after that flight
CitiBike pick up a bike right at the top of our street.
