“Well maintained property, nice artwork, safe. Had everything we needed. Very helpful owners. This apartment is 2 minutes to the subway, 1 stop from Grand Central station, and 3 stops from Times Square. Central to everything. Short walk to trains, buses, subway and ferries. Good shops, cafes and restaurants nearby. Felt part of real New York yet close enough to touristy Manhattan.”

“We stayed in the Artist Loft in October 2016 for nearly 2 months. We arrived in the evening and rushed down to Gantry Park on the East River (a short walk away) to see the city and were blown away by the vista of Manhattan. The loft was just perfect, full of wonderfully interesting art by Margaret and David and it is spacious and light. We were very excited to have a view of the Chrysler Building from our lounge room. The loft has all the conveniences of home and was beautifully clean and ready for new guests when we arrived. Having such a comfortable home away from home made our visit to NYC an incredible experience we will treasure the rest of our lives. Thank you Margaret and David for being such great hosts.”

“The apartment is in a safe neighbourhood as it's directly opposite a police precinct. The apartment is clean and tastefully decorated with artwork from the owners. The sofa and chairs are cool and comfortable. So too are the beds. The kitchen and lounge are together and there are two separate double bedrooms and a large bathroom. The main room has a TV with local channels and great wifi. It has all the necessary stuff in the kitchen and even has an iron, washer and dryer with fast cycles. Margaret came to greet us once we'd settled in and gave us some tips on local supermarkets and the subway system. The area is clean and friendly with a local gourmet supermarket only 3 minutes walk from the apartment.”

“For us, this loft was very convenient since our daughter lives just a 5-minute walk away. It was well-maintained, clean and comfortable. The area is very safe, day or night, so we never had any qualms about being out. The loft is so close to the subway, which means it is close to Manhattan. Favorite neighborhood store: Bricktown Bagels. We went there almost every day.”

The place is surrounded by coffee shops, grocery stores and steps to the subway, in minutes you are in Manhattan. I felt as if the area was safe and easy to walk around. “The location is great to jump in the subway only a few steps away. There is a bar and coffee shop right outside the door to start the day or for a nightcap. The space is clean and perfect for 4 adults. I wish it would have been a little warmer to explore more but mother nature has a mind of her own! Highly recommend this space outside if the hustle and bustle of Manhattan is too much. We would stay here again for sure!! Thanks to the owners for working with us at the last minute!!!”

“The neighborhood was nice with several restaurants, laundry and food stores. It was a five minutes walk to the riverside with a fantastic skyline-view. But probably the best was the short way to the subway. There is no doubt that we will check out if this apartment is available if we travel to NYC again. David was a good and friendly host, and he gave us the apartment very clean and nice. We recommend!”

“We could not have been happier with our choice of the Artist Loft in Long Island City for our visit to NYC. The apartment was very clean and stylishly decorated, perfect for our family of four. The location was perfect - being away from the madness that is Manhattan but within minutes on the subway or ferry and easy access to the rest of Queens and down to Williamsburg and Dumbo and the rest of Brooklyn - the subway stop is literally a couple of minutes walk from the apartment and the ferry just a few minutes more. The neighbourhood is packed with fantastic restaurants, cafes, a great deli and pizza take away on the doorstep. The walk along the waterfront is a delight and the whole place has such a great atmosphere . Our view of the Chrysler building from the apartment was so cool. The hosts, Margaret and David were so helpful and attentive - a faulty ac unit replaced within an hour! I would highly recommend basing yourself in Long Island City for a visit to NYC - at these apartments, for the best experience of NYC. I hope to return at some point but in the meantime will be recommending this place to any friends and family considering a trip there! I could go on............just book it, you will not be disappointed 😊”

“My teen son and I stayed in the Red loft while he attended an art school summer program. We couldn’t have picked a better property. The lofts are art themed and original pieces cover the walls. It was only three subway stops to SVA and one stop to all the city has to offer. It was clean, well maintained and in a perfect location. David and Margaret were wonderful hosts.”

“Recommended by a friend in Sydney. Quiet neighborhood (compared to Manhattan). Close to subway, one stop to Manhattan. The local amenities perfect, laundry, French restaurant, Mexican restaurant, literally around corner. Cafe 51 every morning for coffee. Gantry Park 2 blocks flat walk, spectacular views of Manhattan. Apartment cozy and comfy.”

“Happy to report this Loft is even BETTER than the photos. It is the cleanest apt rental we have ever booked – it’s quiet, spacious and beautiful. Great fun and SAFE neighborhood with restaurants of at least 10 different cuisines - all more reasonable than Manhattan (which is only 10 minutes away, anyway). Subway is right on the corner and for extra fun we took the East River ferry crossing a few times - awesome site seeing of the skyline and bridges of Lower Manhattan. Hosts super friendly, easy to contact and full of a lot of local suggestions. Great artwork and vibe to the whole place. Plan to return next year!”

“Bien ubicado muy y espacioso Loft, muy recommendable Estamos encantados con este Loft, es espacioso y muy acogedor, no hemos tenido ninguna dificultad con el piso, es muy práctico. En cuanto a la situación está muy bien ubicado, hay una boca de metro justo al lado con la que puedes llegar a Manhattan con una sola parada, eso hace que sea muy ágil desplazarse y además está en un lugar bastante céntrico de la ciudad. El vecindario es bastante moderno y nuevo. Es un barrio tranquilo lo cual se agradece de no tener el movimiento de Manhattan todo el dia, muy cerca está un mirador donde se pueden ver las fantásticas vistas de Manhattan en el río, y siempre hay algo de ambiente por la Vernon Blvd donde poder salir a tomar algo o pasear al lado del piso. Hemos estado muy a gusto estos 2 meses aquí, muy recomendable."

“El loft es muy agradable, seguro, muy limpio. Nos sorprendió lo espacioso ya que en las fotos no se llega a apreciar la amplitud que realmente tiene. Todo funcionaba a la perfección. A minutos del centro de Manhattan, era como estar prácticamente allí. A metros del Gantry Park para ir en cualquier momento del día/noche y contemplar la vista inmejorable. Lo recomendamos totalmente !!! El loft superó nuestras expectativas, resultó mas grande de lo que aparenta en las fotos y superlimpio !!!”

“Fantástica y Fabulosa ! El apartamento es una de las mejores opciones que se pueden encontrar para visitar manhattan, perfecto para dos parejas o una familia. Espacioso, limpio, equipado y en una excelente ubicación. A 10-15 minutos de Times Square (metro a 200m) pero alejado del bullicio. El barrio es cómodo y seguro, y merece la pena pasear por los alrededores. Sin duda lo recomendaré a todos los que vayan a pasar unos días a Nueva York. Es muy espacioso y limpio. La ubicación muy buena y el barrio acogedor. La comunicación con Margaret estupenda, asi como la carpeta con informació que dejan en el apartamento.“

“Es una muy muy buena experiencia!!!  Un buen apartamento en New York sin estar en el centro de New York pero muy cerca de todo, muy bien ubicado con restaurantes y supermercados muy cerca, la estacion del metro solo a media cuadra, con estacion de policia al frente lo cual nos hizo sentir muy seguros todo el tiempo!! Es una muy buena experiencia y es un apartamento que vale la pena…. Estuvimos mi marido mi hijo de 15 años y yo por dos meses y siempre que volvamos a NY nos quedaremos aca mismo, sin duda alguna, ya lo hemos recomendado a nuestros amigos cercanos para que lo puedan disfrutar como nosotros! No hay lavadora ni secadora en el de un cuarto pero hay una lavandería a dos cuadras muy buena…..David y Margaret Gracias!”

“Nous étions en famille et nous avons retenu le logement de David et Margaret à Long Island pour les 2 chambres et sur les commentaires favorable : nous n'avons pas été déçus! Dès le début, les consignes étaient claires, à l'arrivée Margaret était présente pour faciliter notre installation et nous avons trouvé un logement propre et accueillant. Grâce à Margaret, nous nous sommes vite sentis chez nous dans le quartier: il y a tout supermarchés, pharmacie, nombreux restaurants, boulangerie et surtout, le métro pour tout le quotidien et pour rayonner dans tout New York. Donc, je recommande vivement les appartements de David et Margaret pour tout ces aspects positifs qui ont participés à ne nous laisser que de bons souvenirs.”

“Nous venons de passer une semaine dans cet appartement situé dans un quartier calme mais anîmé. La sortie du métro est vraiment à coté de l'apartement et va au Grand central à Manhattan à un arrêt. Il y a de nombreux bons restaurants à prix raisonnable dans le quartier, nous en avons testé quelques uns. Le ferry situé à 10 min à pied est parfait pour apprécier la ville depuis East River. Margaret était présente pour nos échanges en amont puis pour nous recevoir sur place. Super séjour, ville extraordinaire!”

“Appartamento molto pulito, fornito di lavatrice ed asciugatrice. Si presenta con ampia ucina e zona giorno, due camere matrimoniali, una più piccola ed una più grande. L’appartamento è situato in una posizione strategica: a 50 mt dalla porta di casa trovate la stazione Vernon-Blvd (metro viola nr. 7) che con una fermata Vi porterà direttamente a Gran Central. Inoltre nelle vicinanze trovate dinner, market, Dunkin Donuts, ottimi bagel e altri locali. Una passeggiata di cinque minuti Vi porterà sulla Promenade di Long Island il cui skyline lascerà senza fiato. Assolutamente consigliato!”

“Tutto perfetto! Loft grande, accogliente, nuovo e pulito in modo ineccepibile, posizionato a 30 secondi di cammino dalla metropolitana (linea 7). David é Stato un host molto attento e preciso. Non ci siamo incontrati ma siamo sempre rimasti in contatto durante il nostro soggiorno. Consigliatissimo, ottimo valute for money.”

“Viaggio molto, praticamente tutte le settimane e alla ricerca di una sistemazione comoda per raggiungere gli US open ho trovato il loft di David e Margaret Innanzitutto devo dire che a quel prezzo a Manhattan non si trova più di un decoroso 4 stelle, mentre il loft sarà di 100 metri quadri, due camere da letto, arredato molto bene e completo di tutto. La verità e che non c'è nessun aspetto negativo solo situazione estremamente positive, la metropolitana a 20 metri che in 4 minuti ti porta a Grand central e in 6 a Times square, il quartiere è meraviglioso, sembra di essere in un villaggio senza stress e senza caos, ristoranti di ogni tipo e bar che a dire il vero chiudono un po' "presto". I proprietari sono gentili e disponibili. Io ho passato le mie serate in zona, mentre il mio collega è andato spesso a Manhattan spendendo 15/20 dollari nel peggiore dei casi. L'anno prossimo conto di tornarci sicuramente.”
